Small painting, of a abstract face in a doorway, very colorful and alive. This is not meant be anyone person. It's like looking at a lot of faces but never really seeing one face in a group.

. The cat in the photo is a male Main Coon cat his name is Chester. He loves to be a little explorer, gets into everything. He is my good friend. Likes to sit and watch me paint. I now paint mostly with acrylics. I like to paint mostly on canvases that are medium size. I also have books of paintings on paper that I have done just for fun. Most of my paintings can fit nicely in a hallway or living room to add some color and interest to a dull area. Color, as you can see by my paintings is a very important element to me. I like to expand ideas by playing with the colors in the painting. I will paint over a colors and Gesso over a design if I don't think it works the way I want it too. I spend a great deal of time planning each painting. I am painting or drawing most of the time, but many of my paintings are not finish works for several weeks. I can be reach also with a email. I live and paint in Fort Collins, Colorado near the mountains. I started drawing and painting at an early age, but when I was in high school in the late 1960's that is when I really started painting. Mostly with enamels and oil paints then. While I was in college, I became interested in art and geometric drawings. Then I realize I could paint in a more " Geometric Abstraction" way. I learn about a Artis name Theo Van Doesburg who in 1917 did a painting called the "Card Players" which is a early Geo-Abstraction. So, I put more of an effort towards painting in that style. After college I tried to sell some of my paintings', but I soon found out how hard that was. So, I put my art away for a while. I came back to painting again after I retired. I love to paint which now I am finally able to do. I like to mix up different styles of abstract with impression, but I almost always fall back into painting Geo. Abstraction. Many of my ideas for paintings come from my years spent in working in manufacturing jobs. I am in my 70's now, and I plan to keep painting until I run out of ideas or time. I really only show my paintings on Saatchi and to friends. Anyway, I hope you like what you see and might like to collect some of my works. Thanks for looking.
