About The Artwork

The west facing corner of the London Building in Teneriffe Brisbane. “The London Woolstore is an icon in Brisbane and not just because of the different architecture and brick colour but also as London is the building that has all the well known restaurants on the front forecourt. Many prospective owners have said “We are only interested in buying in London Woolstore as we want access to the restaurants below and we love the atmosphere and quiet of London.” More than one tenant has said “once you get into The London Woolstore Apartments you stay here because it is so cool and quiet.” Of course, London has fully ducted air conditioning (which is maintained by the Body Corporate) but the atrium is cooled by the open breezeways which are unique to London. Let’s not forget the security of the London Woolstores. It is very difficult to gain access to the building without a resident to give you access and even if you do manage to gain access, the closed circuit television monitors and records your movement. The car park is secure under the building so everyone is comfortable in the knowledge that their car is safe.
