Marisol Evora is a Swedish abstract artist, based in Spain. She constantly experiments, trying new and different techniques and media, such as acrylics, watercolor, diverse markers, pastels, oil, pencils, and other materials. Her art seeks new forms of expression between established art forms. It is usually colorful and textured, with multiple layers, scratches, and marks. The goal of the artist is to produce art that feels interesting to look at and brings energy and colors to ordinary life. Marisol participated in several international contemporary exhibitions and Art Fairs around the world. Her works are held in numerous private collections in the US, Europe, and Japan. "I have always loved painting. Growing up, I was constantly curious and inspired by art. I wanted to become an artist or ballet dancer and I always dreamed of a big family. But being raised in a traditional family while aspiring to have an art career was out of the question. I was told that it is difficult to support oneself as an artist. And so instead, I spent years on education into subjects which may not always have been my main interest, except for the three years where I got to study design. This period was soon diverted toward politics, law, and economics. Eventually, I graduated with a degree in political science and public administration." Marisol
