THE BLACKSTAR PROJECT The BLACKSTAR project is a concept including: - A movie - A concert - A painting exhibition The film BLACKSTAR is a feature film written and directed by Théophile Minuit. It resonates the New York periods of David Bowie and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Unpublished information concerning the circumstances of the writing of The Little Prince is revealed there. The concert part consists of songs by David Bowie performed and sung live by Théophile Minuit during the screening. Each actor-actress also plays Bowie in the film. The painting is by Nathalie Lemaître. The filming sites (New York and Cap Corse) inspired around thirty large canvases filmed and incorporated into the editing for a mise en abyme.

I come from a family of Flemish painters. When I was little, I was taught to paint the light. But I already needed to tear up pieces of magazine paper to put together kind of imaginary puzzles that I covered with paint, like an interior landscape, like buried stories that I couldn't tell otherwise. I always did that, all the time. Painting is for me both a game and a language. I paint like one makes music.
