About The Artwork
The corresponding colors liquidate the clearly structured space. The protagonist of the scenery is a centaur, a mythological hybrid creature. Its hybrid nature is underlined by the doubling that reinforces the moment of transit. The dreamlike surrealism, the mixture of classical depiction and free brushstrokes create a touch of ambiguity. The Centaur appears both, fleshy and etherial. I partly worked intuitively during the process, changed the forms in such way that a completely new identity emerged from a portrait from which I started. This work is also an attempt to develop a visual and emotional language that creates a connection to the viewer.

Born 1981 in Kasachstan. Immigration to Germany in 1998. From 2004 Studies of Fine Art at Bremen School of Art(Hochschule für Künste Bremen) and graduation in 2009. Since 2005 exhibitions in various group shows over the years in Germany and other european countries. Since 2013 I live and work in Berlin. The exposure to different cultures and languages as well as political systems has served my interest in the depiction of transition of the formal and content boundaries of the painterly reproducible. Since 2009 I dedicate my practise to the disciplines and demands of mixed media painting, painted mostly with acrylic on silk. With my technique I create different levels in a painting, which are entering into a dialogue. This dialogue creates the post-media underground on which today's human subject emerges, various art epochs interact and modern visual perception is questioned.
