Lost Spring V (2019), where warm pigments welcome and caress an unprecedented sensuality and femininity. As under a sudden storm, the flowers open their petals to new suggestions, the pollen is dispersed, the colors become vibrant, the sacred moment of the "liberated" nature is outlined. Spring slips away from its colors and scents due to the altered cyclical nature of the seasons, but continues to persist and emerge from the human soul; an interior space, the one that corresponds to the need for naturalness, light, water and life. In 2012 the artist starts a cycle of pictorial works, Lost Spring, where the protagonist is the veiled Nature. The faded color gives way to the sign, which gradually becomes abstracted on the surface, where nature, with its most expensive and familiar forms, slips away, leaving sinopias of itself. The technique used in the cycle of works is a fading exercise, which guarantees to maintain the materiality of the surface while giving an effect of transparency; all through unusual materials such as paper used by industries to absorb sewage, soaked in color and a subsequent stratification in the use of pigment. Destroy the real under the blows of other syntaxes and re-proposing it as a chromatic agglomeration of a new language, which belongs to another area of perception, is the creative process underlying the cycle; the use of sheets of paper capable of absorbing the color and the artist's hand made it possible to cover, eliminate, fade, tear and strain the pigment on the pictorial surface.

I was born in the countryside near Piacenza, where I still live and work in a studio from a converted old barn. Cows out to pasture, wheat fields and century-old trees are the scenario that has seen me grow and which I still feel an important part of myself. Love and respect for flowers and animals, for what is boundlessy large and extremely small, the importance of water and of the land, the solitude of nature, poetry and the encounter with the absolute are the themes that I have endeavoured to investigate, together with the exploration and documentation of deserted places. I like to fly in the face of the bounds of artistic research and give life to a setting where the spectator is involved. This I try to achieve by means of different artistic techniques that range from painting to collage, to sculpture with recycled materials, video projects and installations. At present my works are the result of a free contamination of different artistic languages. I have always been fascinated by the Eastern world, by both the shady and the sunny side of the wood; I have embraced its philosophy as my lifestyle and I am keenly interested in the present social change that is leading the two worlds to get closer. I am a visionary person by nature and I like to transform and distort the meaning of things to inspire reflection
