ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an original abstract acrylic mixed media painting. This artwork is inspired by my childhood. Being free and full of curiosity. *** Rachel Suki Kim, originally from South Korea, is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in Canada. She works mostly in acrylics with some mixed media such as oil pastel, charcoal, or graphite. She draws inspiration from her intuition and paints with no end in mind. Her abstracts are inspired by her memories, experiences, music and emotions. She enjoys the intensity and freedom she experiences while painting as a response to each brushstroke or mark as she paints. She starts with a random mark and continues to veil and unveil by sanding, scraping, or adding thick layers of paint until she periodically pauses to find what is appealing to her. **** It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
