Perseverance landing on Mars is definitely a very important historical event that inspired me to paint my feelings and vision of the "red planet". Thinking about Mars I don't feel just excitement in a good way. It also raises many questions and even negative emotionsa about the real necessity of this step. We have so many places on Earth that could be treated better. We still have starving people and problems with drinking water in some parts of the Globe but we don't have money to solve this problems. Although space programs are always well-financed. Do we really have to move to another planet to have better lives? Or maybe we just have to "clean up" our planet? So this painting is about willing of new conquests, new lands but totally forgetting about being responsible of what we already have. It's all about the psychology of modern human and consupmtionism - wanting new all the time instead of repairing old.

Hanna Borowska is a mixed media artist based in Poland whose painitngs are in private collections in 3 countries - Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. She participated in group exhibitions nationally (years 2013-2018). Borowska believes that a piece of art is something that should be made by hand, not with electronic devices. She is convinced that living in the era of technology and virtual life is the reason why people often feel lost and lack of real warmth, kindness, affection. Hanna claims that traditional art is the best way to affect our mental condition, to help us feel like humans again. Her artworks are about our emotional life and inner world of views, fears, hopes and believes. Her painitngs are full of symbols, metaphors, spiritual references and hidden meanings. Borowska paints the world around us as a reflection of our psychological condition.
