About The Artwork
MT WASHINGTON is the embodiment of fuss, ugly, action, play, and discovery. This image began as an attempt to recollect the skills I once learned painting mountains in a Chinese calligraphy class, but my "happy little trees" part couldn't keep her hands off the pallet knife. Thus, a poorly lit landscape image of Mt. Washington was born. After a few moths of staring at this piece hoping that no-one would drop in on it unexpectedly, it lost its preciousness to me. I remembered that it was part of the process and took an electric coral covered paintbrush to it, and alas, a star was born.
