My journey with Madhubani Art ...
Madhubani Art (or Mithila painting) is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. The painting was originally done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks and using natural dyes and the colors used are derived from pigments. It is characterized by its eye-catching are used for geometrical patterns and canvas, the paste of powdered rice. Madhubani painting has remained confined to a compact geographical area and the skills have been passed on through centuries,

Madhubani paintings use two-dimensional imagery, plants. Ochre, Lampblack and Red reddish-brown and black, respectively. Madhubani paintings mostly depict people their association with nature and scenes and deities from the ancient epics. This traditionally created by the women of various communities in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. The paintings were traditionally done on freshly plastered mud walls and floors of huts, but now they are also done on cloth, handmade paper

I grew up watching my grand mother and aunts paint for our family weddings, child naming ceremony only to realize as I grew older this was a painting form called Madhubani Art.
