I received an FB notification one day from a disgruntled follower. They were raging on how cruel Frida was as a person. I had to ask if they actually knew her? No, they said but their grandparents told stories about her. My retort: If you'd been hit by a bus and suffered from polio as a child I'm pretty sure you might say some unkind things to folks as well. Besides when was the sticks and stones may brake my bones ruled out of etiquette? I mean... so I paint. I painted Magdalena thinking about her political standing, the pain she suffered and mainly identified with some (not all) of her feminism views. Interestingly enough I agree with socialism values. My politic definitely does not include the rich become billionaires at the expense of middle class folks paying beyond the limits of their portion of the tax bracket so they become trillionaires.
