ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Living in Hawaii, I was inspired by a camping trip at South Point looking at a meteor shower all night, I made this series of three paintings after I got home, pulling in the sense of cosmic light, stars and trails of comets streaking across the sky. I added the crystals in resin to create a piezo electric effect coming from the painting in order put a beneficial energy into the space. I hope that my paintings will inspire and be used as healing and soothing tools for the mind, body and spirit.

Her work is greatly influenced by the ever present energy of the lava, volcanic mountains, sea and stars. Hawaii has a certain light quality that her artworks portray as the artist mostly pour paints outside. "My paintings explore fluid water patterns of life; the drop, wave, meaner and spiral. The paint records the movement as the liquid flows around the obstacles occurring in its path.
