About The Artwork
The 50’s and early 60's were such innocent times to be a child, and I have fond memories of car rides on country roads in the Midwest. Many farms and barns along rural stretches carried advertising, and the ones I remember best are the Mail Pouch signs. This painting also features the ubiquitous rusty truck, ever present in the field. Painting this collection has been a tribute to my long gone grandparents, and innocent childhood.
