Makhan Chor : Becoming 'One' with Lord Krishna ! Makhan Chor is one of the 106 names of Lord Krishna. In this portrayal, toddler Krishna is eating butter(makhan) from an earthen pot(matka). This depiction has a symbolic meaning- The earthen pot contains curd which is churned to get butter. Similarly, our human body contains soul which is churned in the form of life's sufferings to unite with the pure spirit, Lord Krishna ! I made Krishna by dripping acrylic paint directly onto the canvas without any rough brush, no stroke, no correction - Surely a divine intervention!
