Malletts Bay Vermont watercolor 2024 Painting

Finishing my string of images starting with my 20xx photo of this gorgeous bay near Burlington in my wife's home state of Vermont, I offer this small watercolor of Vermont! I want to say right off, the right side edge is creased (no idea how I did that) so I'm offering this work at a discount, still fully insured to ship of course 🙏 Honestly, I debated offering this version, but I'm (artistically) perplexed and intrigued by the blend and dichotomy of styles and textures, from traditional washes, to impasto passages including white gouache. Plus the softly flowing sky atop the rush of waters rushing past the precariously anchored small boat had me thinking a few days before I realized / remembered how this could be so, and not just whimsy or fantasy. It's to do with the way a bay or river can look after torrential rains that, though they've passed and the sky is at peace again, the residue of rain must still find its resting space. Having grown up near the coastal area of the Gulf of Mexico, sometimes this would be as true for the streets in Houston! Either way, I like this work and wanted to offer it. I do think it could benefits from white space around, as I try to show among my additional pics (side view etc) included in my listing. I know a fair amount (not all) about acrylic and oils, but watercolors are still my baby steps medium, lol!
