Desperate for fast money, a lovable social media influencer turns predator after green lighting a beauty serum that slowly disfigures anyone who uses it. Medium: Acrylic on canvas with 3D mixed media, including the artist's own human hair. This artwork portrays a surreal and abstract representation of a face, mainly in black, pink, and white tones against a stark black background. The face is encapsulated within an ellipse that appears bubble-like, suggesting a portrayal of distortion or reflection. The right eye of the figure is prominently detailed and centered, with a white eyeball and a black pupil surrounded by spokes radiating outward, resembling an iris or perhaps a camera shutter. On the other hand, the left side of the face where the second eye would traditionally be placed seems to dissolve into an abstraction, an amalgamation of swirls and textures that don't conform to anatomical details. This area is dominated by circular patterns and what may be interpreted as a sense of decay or transformation. The nose bridge is suggested but merges seamlessly with the surrounding swirls, and the coloration and detail give the impression of a structure in flux, reinforced by dynamic brushstrokes. The entire composition has an organic, almost biological quality to it, with the contrasting textures and viscous lines contributing to a feeling of surreal motion or mutation. The abstract approach leaves much to personal interpretation, allowing the viewer to explore themes like identity, perception, and transformation.
