The Geert De Kegel Collection, Zele, Belgium.

What/who inspired the work?
Gerhard Richter’s portraits.

What do you hope viewers will feel/think?
I hope viewers understand that I am creating a collection of paintings for the Davis Museum entitled "The Paintings Section". It is made by my own paintings only. In this section, you will find all the works are related to the artists who have created their own museums. Also representations and interpretations of the works created by them.

Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style?
I chose oil painting because is a sophisticated medium. For me it is a nice challenge.

I chose to be inspired by the Richter’s photorealistic paintings style because it has a method of making very similiar it is used into advertising.
