"Mare Dentro" Painting

I live and work in Italy.
I love what being an artist does to my vision. I love that life becomes literally more vibrant for me the more that I am painting, my eyes becoming more sensitive to subtle shifts. When my mind is uncluttered and in tune, the visual world can be really miraculous, full of chaos and order, depth and flatness, coolness and warmth.
It is a daily education in beauty so that curiosity and wonder always remain alive.

Almost everything that happens to me inevitably precipitates into artwork, therefore the subjects I paint represent my experiences, struggles, and challenges.
I accord myself many privileges but I am also a woman in a world that is still strongly patriarchal, and this, along with other experiences shared by many friends, has made my gaze prismatic as well as my representations.

I have a weakness for underdogs, and one part of me will always stay with them.
I paint people in whom you need to find the real beauty behind the skin.
What drives me is the portrait of the human being, of you, of me, of us."

Vivo e lavoro in Italia.
Amo dipingere perché amo ciò che l'essere artista fa alla mia visione. Amo il fatto che la vita diventi letteralmente più vibrante per me quanto più dipingo, e che i miei occhi diventino più sensibili ai piccoli cambiamenti. Quando la mia mente è libera e in sintonia, il mondo può essere davvero meraviglioso, pieno di caos e ordine, profondità e piattezza, freschezza e calore.
E’ una quotidiana educazione alla bellezza affinché rimangano sempre vivi la curiosità e lo stupore.

Quasi tutto quello che mi capita precipita inevitabilmente nel lavoro artistico, quindi i soggetti che dipingo rappresentano il mio vissuto, le mie battaglie e le mie sfide.
Mi riconosco molti privilegi ma sono anche una donna in un mondo ancora fortemente patriarcale e questo assieme ad altre esperienze condivise da amicə, ha reso prismatico il mio sguardo e così le mie rappresentazioni.

Ho una predilezione per gli sfavoriti e una parte di me rimarrà sempre con loro.
Dipingo persone in cui è necessario trovare la vera bellezza dietro la pelle, persone comuni.
Ciò che mi spinge è il ritratto dell'essere umano, di te, di me, di noi.
