For the ancient Slavs, spring was considered the most successful time for weddings. They got married on a day called Krasnaya Gorka - a holiday of the beginning of spring. the festive week began on Yarila Veshny (later - St. George's Day), that is, on April 22. Today it is the first week after Easter, so the numbers change every year. Our ancestors believed that those who were married on Krasnaya Gorka could automatically count on a cloudless and happy family life, because Yarilo himself, the god of fertility, sun, strength and life, became their patron. The preparations for the wedding went on all winter. Initially, wedding dresses were red, and in a white dress, the funeral ceremony of a girl was performed, who passed into a new quality - a woman, a wife. Nowadays, of course, no one is buried at weddings, but the feeling of a miracle, delight from beauty with a slight touch of sadness and secrets remain. As a fan of textures, I experiment with every artwork. An unusual ink backing was made here, then continued with oil pastels and pencils. None of my artworks can be copied even by me, they are all unique.
