My name is Usra Iqbal. I am a self-taught Pakistani artist based in Karachi. I am a born artist as I always enjoy doing stylish/calligraphy writing, drawings, diagrams, paintings since my childhood. Even my register's title pages used to look like a colorful frames. So basically I started this journey of creating art in my university days, during Covid as I really wanted to do something productive to divert my mind from all the tensions around. For me, Art is the source of getting peace because I feel it connects your soul with nature. All of the credit of my work goes to the constant support of my family who always motivated & appreciated me and my work, that inspire me to follow my passion and encouraged me to never give up. I use calligraphy pens, inks and permanent cut markers for Calligraphy writing while in painting, my favorite medium to work with are acrylic paints because they don't take more time to dry and easy to work with, but I also love experimenting with other mediums. I love to make sketches with charcoal pencils. I find my happiness and peace in creating my artworks. I am still experimenting and learning through my art,as I belief it teaches you to be patient, to own a mistake and learn from them. I hope you will like my artworks and to see more of my work in details, follow my Instagram account @artyst__y
