About The Artwork
The idea behind this piece was to fiddle about with masks and faces. I like the lifelesness in the eyes; it creates a very unpersonal atmosphere, as masks always seem to do. I got inspired by a magician who covered his face with masks. every now and then he would peel some off his face in acts of drama. there was always a new mask after the stripped one. That magician was a very scary man.
