Sitting here I am Gazing quietly at the blocks of several hues There is so much to write and yet nothing left to let's just say - I show my complex state of mind in the simplest possible way... This maze I feel is in everybody's active mind Has several points of entry but a way out is difficult to find But that's just not the point The maze depicted has only 2 ways to get in on one side and come out on the other One is the simple way and the other takes quite some time Well I think, we always have the 2 options, but a simple solution comes only from a noble mind So here it is for you, take a look and tell me what way it is that you see and choose ? Simple or the complex route through your mazing mind..

Priyanka Tewari’s luminous expansive abstract paintings evoke and express a fundamental inner questioning of reality. What am I, and who am I? What is real and true, if I look into myself and follow the stream of my thought? How deep can I look, before I find the foundation of what is? And how can color on a canvas express and convey the depth of my inner experience and search? Questions like these inform and guide the brilliant and evocative splashes of creative color, whether heavily or lightly textured, of artist Tewari’s work. They present a deep and personal meditative experience of the mystery of existence. Born in India, Priyanka learned painting as a child and earned a Senior Diploma in art. Her fascination with the world of color led her to end a nine year successful career in the corporate world to devote her time to art, and to her family. Her work involves the use of different media and techniques. While some paintings are heavily textured with gesso, moulding paste and/or tissue paper, others are minimalistic – painted using layering and glazing techniques in acrylics. She is constantly in search of new colors, textures and images to express her evolving experience of life. Priyanka has showcased her work in both India and the United States. Her work has been published in leading national newspapers in India, journals in England, and in the United States. A book called Signs, that combines her art work and poetry was published in 2018.
