.....Me And Murphy Painting

This painting combines two of my artistic loves: torn posters and lettering. The text in this piece is taken from the random conversations overheard on one single train journey. The physical texture implies the motion and background noise of everyday life passing by and the words are the random conversations of passengers. When isolated like this the words take on another meaning. An abstract and mindless chatter which refers to another piece of mine called, 'More And More Is Being Said About Less And Less'. This is a perfect example of this, however there still remains a joy in the haphazard chatter of people passing the time of day.
