The inspiration for this art work comes from the Me Too Movement. It really is a painting that captures, I believe, the code of silence that many women suffer and live with daily. The injustice and degradation many women go through today in the United States and around the world is not always obvious so this movement must continue to speak out in the hope of making a positive, significant and permanent change.
