Contact us.My life has always revolved around a passion for contemporary art, music, and dance.
From sourcing and selling the work of post Perestroika Russian artists to managing the operations and PR for Scullers Jazz Club, my career has reflected that passion, moving through shades and colors over the years but always rooted in the same landscape of creativity and the artists who share their creativity with the world. I’ve spent my life this way because it brings me joy, but also because I believe in the transformative power of art; in its ability to give shape and meaning to our lives.
With a degree in Art History and Studio Arts, I worked in museums and art galleries, as a tour guide, art consultant, gallery owner, antique furniture dealer. As an artist for à large online fashion platform I painted huge backgrounds for fashion shoots.
One of the very attractive characteristics of abstract expressionism for me is the use of a large canvas. I love the freedom that it presents for creation of diverse composition. Large canvases allow for unlimited powerful and very personal explorations of your own self and remove the constraints of a painting being a form of decoration. This is something I would love to explore further when I expand my studio.
Based in New York since 2020, in my home studio, I use acrylics, metallic paint, mixed media and collage to produce primarily abstract paintings experimenting with diverse materials, mixed media. Implementing the use of non-traditional tools in my process and art practice allows for true freedom of expression.
My work is intuitive, and I aim to create atmospheric, abstract expressionist paintings. But always, my process is guided by the knowledge I have acquired through years of observation and collaboration with other artists and performers.
As I undertake a new project, the blank canvas and the paint develop on their own and with every brush stroke, with each movement of the tools I use, the subject comes to life and I follow its lead. Sometimes I am driven by emotions, but I’m primarily fascinated by the Experimentation, and the complexity and richness brought by mixing colors, mediums.
My work explores texture, color, structures, and the process of making art. I am always surprised at the results. The art is alive, and I am just a conduit.
