MEGGIES VIEW II This is another painting for my ongoing Common Ground project inspired by the many different activities, occupations and pastimes enjoyed by those living and working around our well known National Trust commons in The Cotswolds - Rodborough, Selsley and Minchinhampton which I can see from the window of my studio. Meggie and I have looked at (and I've painted) this image before. On a clear day we can see the River Severn winding it's way through the valley and The Forest of Dean beyond. She is getting older now, and we both seem to sit and watch for longer than we used to.... It is framed in a simple white moulding and is ready to hang.
