Metal RBY Cityscape Painting

Nature itself is a wonderful art and if you have been an avid admirer, it is a teacher for some of us. In nature, mark-making, sense-making and meaning-making happens constantly. Every living or non-living objects is continuously expressing, creating impressions in both temporary and permanent ways. As artists, we observe and strive to live through these type of deliberations. I have been living and breathing cityscapes for the past 5 years now - familiarising and perfecting my skills in different mediums and geners. This process has propelled me to evolve as an artist in this particular genre via various experimentations using space, line and form. This practise sensitised me to my immediate surroundings in terms of experiencing visual energies and expressing them as experiments. Having grown up in a developing country like India, I watched a traditional city grow into a modern one interms of architecture. This has inspired me to capture the urban essence and rawness of construction on a canvas using metal rods and plates.
