ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Minimalism Series originated from the chaotic lives our society lives. My desire for a contemplative experience to slow the mind down creates the rake like 3D texture done to the background of this piece. The rich layers of pigment gives the viewer a different experience upon different vantage points. The pearl undercoat gives a reflective quality that peeks through the luscious fushia pigment. The final high gloss resin coat gives un paralleled sophistication to the composition.
