About The Artwork
During the peaceful protest in June 2020, learning and understanding the suffering of the Black (and Bipoc) community in the US, saw this image of a mother holding his youn sons hand. I cried with feelings of grief and helplessness that comes with being a mother and having no power to the external elements our kids are submitted too. As a mother myself, I know the power of holding my kids hand, and I will until she lets. A mothers hand holding hers son hand has some of the deepest most raw feelings once can expewrience.
