About The Artwork
Inspired by the sculptural work of Michelangelo Buonarroti, The Pieta. Mary stood beside Jesus until the end. Even though His death caused her tremendous grief, she was able to accept His death and the plan of the Father. I admire Mary's acceptance of suffering, her complete humility, and her willingness to follow God's will. The style is contemporary since this event brought us teachings that we can apply to these modern times.

I started drawing when I was 7. During my junior year in high school, I was luckily able to enroll in a painting class, which was a very enjoyable experience for me. In the same year, I then decided to enhance my skills by getting private art lessons. My developing love for the arts later on flourished as I took a Bachelor in Interior Design course in college. My art classes with the talented artist, Fernando Sena was a profound learning experience, and I continued developing my own style. Willem de Kooning, Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso have greatly influenced my work.
