About The Artwork
'Polar Warmth' represents motherly love in the deepest sense. On first sight it may look like a sunny and lovely picture, but in fact it is a desperate and powerless cry. There's so much wrong with the world and the only way we mothers can deal with the incredible and unexpected dangers from outside, from global warming to terrorism (in this case the threat is represented by a baby plant that shouldn't grow there) is to close your eyes and give even more love as long as you still can.

I was born on Friday the 13th in The Hague. In 2000 I settled, in an old farm in the South of France where I work full time as an artist. In general I create large size transparent abstract watercolours, work on my Ever Evolving work of art (a 6 meter fresco) and on 3D projects in nature.
