September Announcement- Yeah, "Bovine Bliss" just won 1st place at the juried show "Party to the Cows Come Home" in Long Island! I am thrilled! Artist Statement: Creating art is an immersive journey for me, a dance between intention and spontaneity. In crafting my technique, what makes my work unique is the harmonious blend of chance and control, intuition and intention. Each piece, whether abstract or landscape, is a testament to a moment in time, capturing an essence that words often fail to convey. This is my world, my canvas, my sanctuary where the unpredictable nature of life can be transformed into something tangibly profound. -Peggy Artist message: Thank you for visiting my Saatchi Art page.. I hope you stay for awhile. Although I’ve painted for 40 plus years, I”m still hoping someday I’ll get it right but in the meantime I’m having fun experimenting and challenging myself with a variety of mediums and application tools while remaining true to myself. You see I’ve never been one to follow the crowd or be the same person left over from yesterday. I thrive on change. As Deepak Chopra said, “change is the fertile ground for pure creativity”…if I didn’t embrace change I’d be bored stiff. Hence, my diversified artwork portfolio. Enjoy! Read my blog at About the artist- Casey-Mason was exposed to the language of painterly skills by studying the works of Monet, Pissarro, Sisley, and Morisot, which she appreciated and learned from. Her early impressionistic works from 1995 to 2010 portrayed landscapes, farms, nature, buildings, marine paintings, rural scenes, and still lifes. In 2002, she attended her first workshop in Monet's gardens, which inspired her dream to live in France. After attending her second workshop in the south of France, she sold her home in the U.S. and left her corporate job to move to the French countryside. The landscape that had inspired her became her life, and she created light-filled flower and vegetable gardens. Her gardens became the main focus of her many new paintings. During these years, she discovered the works of Gerhard Richter, Joan Mitchell, and Jackson Pollock, whose use of colors, expressive brushstrokes, intuition, and individuality stirred her imagination. Casey-Mason adopted their approach, which has dominated her art making for the past ten years, celebrating her freedom, love of color, and wonder on her canvases through abstractions that are never far from the rhythms of nature and life experiences.
