About The Artwork
Created from a time of grieving, this piece represents pushing people away till it’s just you and you only. Pain made me push people as far away as I could and when I needed them I felt hopeless with the thought of reaching out due to my lack of presence in their lives many months prior. However the loneliness is an illusion, I had so many people there for me, which is why I chose a mountain. They may seem far but they’re on the same mountain with me. I chose to put some of the green covering the woman to show the weight you feel when you’re grieving, and a golden sun for hope.
