About The Artwork
I was inspired by the marble stones of the floor of the oratory of "La CaserĂa", a spiritual retreat village, located in front of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada, Spain. Mixture of materials such as carbon filings, gold stripes such as brass and rock-style volumes, on a stripped background, are reminiscent of a precious natural stone. On this, she wraps a thin layer of Epoxy resin giving a result so hard and similar to that of a sapphire crystal.
