I’ve been investigating memories affected by context-dependent cues. Memory retrieval can be a fickle beast, held hostage by external conditions. For me, particular smells can take me back in time where I can ignore the current, and indulge in a moment of the past. Don’t even get me started on a high school mix tape or a playlist. I can live there for hours! Although, pretty sure those memories are the remix.
