About The Artwork

This Painting is inspired by Kerala Mural art. Krishna is pictured in Hindu symbology with a crown of peacock's feathers, playing the flute. Krishna is the ideal of divine love, the God of love. The very presence of this painting brings immense harmony, good luck, peace, prosperity, and tranquility in the lives of us.  In Hinduism and Indian mythology Murlidhar or Lord Krishna is the other name of eternity, austerity and completeness and is considered as the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.  Lord Krishnas name Murlidhar is very dear to his devotees as he is always seen playing flute. Krishna’s flute is the symbol of Freedom or Pranava. It is this flute that attracted the devoted Gopis, the maidens of Vraja, to meet their beloved Lord on the banks of the sacred Yamuna.
