American author and artist Todd Rykaczewski is a congressionally awarded photographer and a brilliant mixed medium artist. His art can be seen at area businesses or on Facebook if you are one of his 27K+ Facebook followers, or LinkedIn 4,500+ Followers. After moving to Jacksonville in 2013, Rykaczewski continued following his passions of writing, photography and art which manifested into realizing his dream to open Word Revolt Art Gallery in 2017, a brick and mortar exhibition gallery and studio in Atlantic Beach Florida. Rykaczewski published the poetic novels, Word Revolt, in 2012, The Folklore Behind Shade, in 2016, Masters of Revels, in 2018 and Joan & The Man, in 2020 with his new novella Earth’s Shipping Yard set to release in September of 2020. He is currently working on a sixth, Trashed to release in 2021. Rykaczewski has contributed to various publications and speaking engagements both locally and internationally. He is known for working on his antique Underwood typewriter, as seen in his guest appearance with poetry written for an international TV episode aired in Canada on May 24, 2020. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Pharmacology from The Ohio State University, his artwork lives in the genre of experimental abstraction, often utilizing materials that are unexpected including found media, extinct, expired or time based materials to consider their function in society. Todd's visual art theories extend into his fictional writing, examining greater social and gender roles often with a poetic and spiraling psychological twist.
