Idea: Bro, are you sure you made the wish you're looking forward to? After all, art today is exactly the same as it has always been. Don't I, the Christmas reindeer, get it? Bro, this is the night. Do what you want, do what you have to do – just enjoy it. Good? There, guy… Description: This piece was painted on New Year’s night during my compulsory treatment in mental hospital. By that time, I had already accepted myself AS AN ARTIST, and all of my desires concerned art. A lot of people make a wish on New Year's Eve and want it to come true. But oftentimes, we do not see deep enough into ourselves, so we get not what we wanted. This artwork means we do not always need what we desire, and sometimes we already have what we need, we just have to look closely. --- Original art by Sergey Es from his Afternoon Dreams Varnished, comes ready to hang. Gallery quality Premium, environmentally friendly, cotton canvas wrapped around the frame, painted around the edges to compliment the artwork & doesn’t need framing. This painting is unique. Artwork will be sent to you carefully packed in protective packaging.

I’m an outsider artist, working in Art Brut style in my own way, which I call psychoart. In my works I explore reality, thoughts and ideas, passing them through the prism of my vision, partly formed by the disease - schizophrenia. The main subject I work with is the transformation of images, concepts, ideas, forms and meanings in the consciousness and unconscious of an individual whose thinking is qualitatively and fundamentally different from the generally accepted standards and norms. I explore the influence of my mental characteristics on understanding processes such as art, creativity, and the search for meaning. The process of creation in my work differs from the classical one in that it is controlled by the periphery of the unconscious or by something or someone, but not by me. I do not work on artwork in the ordinary sense, as other artists do, I do not select colors, I do not build a composition. I ask the Universe a question and get an answer in the form of an image, which I then transfer to the canvas. Often the view comes in a dream or half-sleep. I do fine art with children suffering from mental disorders and diseases. In our society, mental illness is something shameful, although it is as tragic as cancer, for which the patient is not guilty. I try to change the attitude of the established majority opinion to this issue.
