ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I hope anyone who feels this will feel happy. I was inspired by a local willow tree and memories of other ones through out my life. They evoke sweet sadness. At the same time they feel comforting and protective while standing under their umbrella. The colors are soft and the touch I used with brush and palette knife are soft as well. Bright color on a gray misty day.

What medium I use and when, is determined by my subject and mood I want to convey. My paintings are most often landscapes, botanical, or birds. When I would cry as a small child, my grandfather had the best advise. He would say "get the pencil". He did, and that is how my tears left and where my story started.
