VIEW IN MY ROOM
Original Painting Oils, pastels & acrylics on canvas 132 x 183cm x 4cm The third in a large series based on the lyrics of Tom Waits songs. The artists is inspired by Waits' unique storytelling and slightly surreal visuals these lyrics create. This particular piece is based on the Waits' song "Going out West" using the lyrics 'My friends think I'm ugly. I've got a masculine face' as the starting block and title for the piece. Various cues from the song are found within the piece through the artist's use of mark making.
