Art Description

Painting: Oil on Canvas.

Parallel to my fascination for ruined houses, I took an interest in the world on a microscopic scale, especially in the SEM images of elements that are used in the fabrication of paint, like titanium dioxide. The SEM images I use could be extreme close-ups of famous paintings by, for instance Rembrandt or van Gogh, whose works heve been examined with the aid of electron microscopes. Also the SEM images at the same time look very familiar and utterly strange.
