Nassau Street Shops Painting

Nassau Street shops was painted using hand-drawn, hand-cut stencils and airbrushed liquid acrylic paint on canvas. This piece was inspired by a building in Kensington Market in Toronto, Canada that was demolished in 2015 and replaced by a trendy gelato place, much like the bulk of the market. Nassau Street shops gives the viewer more and more the longer they choose to engage with it. The layers on the wall clearly indicate the passage of time, through which it appears that a silent dilapidation has occurred. This piece was painted on 10 oz cotton canvas, stretched and primed by the artist. Piece is not meant to be framed, the painting wraps around the 1.5 inch stretcher bars. Purchase includes hanging hardware. Two originals were created using the stencils.
