About The Artwork
The North Caucasus is a mountain range located between the Black Sea and the Caspian Lowland. This is an amazing land of deep gorges, green terry valleys and magnificent, unlike anything else mountains. There are mountain ranges formed by weathering, more like strangely shaped sculptures with caves and grottoes. There are also laccolithic mountains - popularly called failed volcanoes. They are formed when uncooled lava pierces the thickness of the earth and, reaching the surface, drags sedimentary rocks with it. The Arkhyz Valley is rightfully considered the pearl of the North Caucasus. Many lakes and waterfalls, bizarre rocks, forests, glaciers, mountains - it is no coincidence that many call it a high-mountain paradise on earth. Arkhyz has long been known for its wonderful mountain healing climate. The secret is that the Arkhyz basin is protected on all sides by high ridges.
