About The Artwork

The North Carolina State Bell Tower is an abstract landscape on canvas. This colorful painting measures 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. The Memorial Bell Tower, its cornerstone dating to 1921, was built to honor the sacrifice of NC State alumni who lost their lives to military service in World War I. And since its completion in 1937, the Memorial Belltower, has stood as a symbol of identity for NC State University, a timekeeper for tradition and a perpetual memorial to NC State students who gave their lives in defense of their country. As well as a memorial, the tower is a rallying point for students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the university community. The NC State University Belltower is lighted for holidays that honor our veterans, such as Memorial Day and Veterans’ Day, and to celebrate NC State’s proudest occasions and achievements. This colorful painting can be used as a shelf sitter on a desk, bookcase or tabletop and will also arrive ready to hang in a natural wood float frame. The framed dimensions are 91/2 x 9 1/2 inches.

Jeanne is a southern artist from Fayetteville, NC. She is passionate about all things art. She finds painting brings her a sense of peace and serenity as she paints the world around her. She is inspired by her love of wide open spaces and the sense of freedom it brings her and the viewer. She enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, figures and florals. She typically works with acrylic paints and gel mediums because of the fast drying time, using both palette knives and brushes. She likes to build layers and layers in her art. Movement and texture are also important aspects of her work. Jeanne's love of impressionism, expressionism, contemporary and abstract art influence her painting style.
