The Artist, Writer and Wizard

My name is Marie Korovina.

I was born high in the mountains of Uzbekistan and for me everything begins here, at sunrise, with cool mountains, emerald bowls of valleys, among flowers. In the beauty of this land, washed by ancient waters - my Inspiration. Here, on the territory of my Motherland, many centuries ago the state of Ilak flourished. It is like a radiant mystery, sparkling in the Night of centuries. Having the ability to penetrate through time, I was deeply struck by those places and events that I saw and heard through the thickness of time. I can say for sure - the roads of the Silk Road are not lost; the blessed ancient cities do not sleep.

This direction reflects the essence of my creativity: My motto is to study DNA of the world’s cultures.

By using age-old cultural symbols that are universal and applicable to all people, I use my art to enlighten the viewer's way to themselves, much like a bright star would.

The decorative element dominates my paintings, which gives them a more genuine feel. I enjoy experimenting with colour and form, deviating from the norm, and exploring different painting traditions, such as realism. Here, my photographs capture the unique characteristics of the human and animal models.

The connection between the metaphysics of the invisible spiritual world of ideas and the physical reality of things. I delve into ancient ornaments, cosmoramas, and symbols embedded in human genetic memory through symbolism. Through my art. I illustrate how the ornaments, relics, and cultural heritage of antiquity can engage with the contemporary digital reality of meta modernism. Here, on my canvas, I forge a connection between the serious and the playful, the past and the present. The excitement of entering a realm of fantasy, where reality is mediated and both the artist and the audience experience freedom, is reflected in my works.
