David is founder of NYC Art Movement which focused on anthropological photography and film of +120
mural street artists during COVID and Black-lives-matter.
He curated the largest NYC's Art Show in 2020
early COVID19.
His conceptual artwork was previewed in the BBC World News. He has released several books and films on art, cinema and politics. David filmed and directed “Libre Monijara” a documentary of a Colombian-
American artist that is getting release in 2025. He is currently directing and filming three other movies,
“Circa El/Ella” a fiction feature film that blends mythology and folklore to showcase Colombia's art and
culture; a fiction feature movie about Jean Luc Godard in NYC, and an anthropological documentary
about Astor Barber Shop, the oldest in NYC.
As a Human Rights activist for eighteen years, I produced anthology documentary movies in and about
contested geographies such as Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and the U.S. As a conceptual artist I also did
several art shows in Iran based on Surrealism.
