Jan G. Marque was born in 1968 in the Netherlands and works since 1989 as a professional writer and painter. He's the initiator of the art-form the Philosophical Realism. The Philosophical Realism is an art-form where word and image are combined, with the main purpose to stimulate people into philosophising about subjects. The subject itself is not depicted or described. Moreover he paints forest landscapes and views according to the tradition of the independent Dutch landscape art, what started with the work of landscape painter Joachim Patinir.
