I can't stand war. When the war in Ukraine broke out, I was angered and created two symbolic paintings, one called "The Red Menace", the other called "Sunflower Power". With the new war in the Middle East, it has me watching the news and reading everything I can to try and learn more about what could possibly be done to bring peace to the Middle East. The idea of a hawk, an owl and a dove came to mind and I decided to have them perched on a barb wired fence with explosions in the background, rising into the sky set against a few buildings that are faintly noticeable in the lower left. The hawk, being the symbol of the aggressor. The supposed wise owl. And the dove representing peace. All three seem to be staring at you, the viewer. All seem unphased by what is behind them. There is no wisdom in war. Birds know this. Why can't we?

I am a modern day, self-taught surrealist. I paint ideas. My goal is to depict the impossible or at least, the highly improbable. When people view my paintings, it's readily apparent what is going on, just not always easily understandable as to why. My paintings will make you think and hopefully, bring a smile to your face.
