About The Artwork
Made for the exhibit 'United State of Art' in art gallery Salon West in Amsterdam. It is an impression of a street scene in New York in the 20s. The woman in the background and the man in the foreground are the main characters. It is painted in acrylic paint on a aluminium (Dibond) and finished with a glossy epoxy layer. The layer is not totally smooth. You can feel the structure of the paint on some places. The epoxy layer is sanded down so the shimmer is less brilliant. On the backside is a blind hanging frame also made of aluminium. Therefore the painting hangs around 1 cm from the wall.
