One of two paintings related by the plot of falling. In this striking oil painting, the feet of a reclining man take center stage, their contours and lines exaggerated in the expressive strokes of the artist's brush. The man lies amidst fallen apples, their vibrant colors and the expressionist style amplifies the emotions, evoking a sense of urgency and intensity. The fallen apples symbolize the passage of time and the inevitable cycle of life, while the man's lifeless posture suggests contemplation amid mysterious moments. Bold, swirling brushstrokes capture the raw energy of the scene, creating a dynamic interplay of colors and forms. The painting is a testament to the artist's ability to convey deep emotions through abstraction, inviting viewers to explore the complex relationship between humanity and nature in a visually captivating and emotionally charged manner.

Rodion Voskresenskii is a contemporary figurative artist. Born in Taganrog, Russia in 1994. Graduated from university in 2016. Worked in Moscow as artist, photographer set director and furniture designer. Immigrated from Russia in 2022. Has no current residency. Rodion's artwork is a unique blend of figurative subjects surrounded by long-lasting emotional sequences and a deeply sensual environment containing both real and fictional objects. His goal is to convey his emotional experience and sense of the moment to the viewer, utilizing visual means and ideas of romanticism, modernism, and impressionism. The genres of interest to him are primarily portrait and the naked human form. His artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that beauty is closely related to naturalness and simplicity. The faces and poses of his characters are mostly calm, but real colours and the environment are being rethought, complementing a set of emotional indicators. Rodion builds the volume of human forms, making colour areas of various sharpness, transparency and brightness. He prefers to work with natural materials such as oil paints, pastel, tempera, wood, linen. Conceptually, Rodion's canvases are united by the idea of capturing the moment of feeling, fixed in natural fullness, and not distorted by time. Scenes of everyday life, surreal phenomena of dreams and deep reflection appear on canvases as an evidence of emotional experience. Sensuality is of paramount importance in Rodion’s works. The presence of images in an intimate environment, the presence of an ephemeral viewer: the invisible is endowed with visibility and importance, comes to the fore. Chaotic Fragments of the past are built in the chronology of feelings, the ether of pain and longing for the lost youth of the soul, for the lost homeland.
